Get to Know the Artist Behind the Art
From the time she was in kindergarten, Kate Lee couldn’t help but create artwork. (She even remembers getting in trouble in school for drawing too much!) In high school, she began to play around with watercolor paints, which laid the foundation for her now-signature style of gentle colors and minimalistic outlines. Kate’s paintings depict faith-filled interactions with a touch of anonymity that allows viewers to see themselves within relatable, tender moments.
Kate and her husband, Mike, live in Utah with their two boys and two dogs. She continues to draw inspiration from her experiences and relationships, now sharing them as a new author and beloved artist on tour!

Love’s Pure Light Lantern
Inspired by Kate Lee's iconic Nativity painting, this Love’s Pure Light lantern features a sculpture of the Holy Family, enveloped in soft light and swirling snowflakes. Kate took additional care to highlight Joseph's role in the Savior’s life, depicting him reverently sharing with Mary the awe and wonder of that sacred night.
