Bringing together a community of Church members striving to better understand the scriptures and apply their lessons to their own lives, Dave and Emily have thoughtfully pulled lessons and learnings from an ancient text into our modern day. They make it easier to understand the complex stories and principles throughout the text we are all trying to study. Their talents for teaching and imparting knowledge in a relatable way have reached thousands already.

Next year, Dave and Emily will walk us through the Book of Mormon. We know this is the keystone of our religion, and we know how important spending time in this book can be. But if you’re like us, you’ve read the line “I, Nephi, having been born of goodly parents” more times than you can count but can easily count the number of times you’ve made it through all the Alma chapters.

It’s understandable. And we’ve all been there.

Dave and Emily want to make studying the Book of Mormon more accessible, understandable, and doable for those of us who wouldn’t necessarily call ourselves scripture scholars.

The Don’t Miss This 2020 Journal is designed as a Book of Mormon study companion. Created in partnership with LDS Living, the journal begins with a weekly study schedule and is filled with fun and interactive study guide sheets that complement the Don’t Miss This weekly YouTube video series. According to an article in LDS Living, the journal will include study schedules and interactive aspects that align with the weekly videos. It’s full of space to write notes, impressions, and promptings, and it has room to keep track of your study throughout the year.

Don’t Miss This in the Book of Mormon explores one verse from each chapter of the Book of Mormon. The authors offer short, devotional-style lessons designed to be read quickly and shared every day with the hope that each reader will find more meaningful personal study of each chapter.

Thank you to Dave and Emily for sharing your gifts with us!
